Face lift
Give your face a fresher, more youthful appearance
What is it?
Over time, facial soft tissues, fat deflation, gravity, muscle changes, sun exposure, and the stresses of everyday life prematurely age our face. As a result, deep folds appear next to the mouth, the jawline becomes saggy, loses definition, and folds and fat deposits appear all over the neck.
Facelift procedures counteract these problems by reshaping fat, and tightening skin, muscles, and ligaments, giving your face a fresher, more youthful appearance. Incisions are made in inconspicuous places, such as behind the hairline and in natural creases of the face and ears, and the scars fade over time.
Fat or other substances are often injected to fill in areas of the face that are flat and reveal the aging process. After surgery, some patients regain 10 to 15 years of facial appearance. The key is that facial reshaping is done in the deep tissues to provide long-lasting results.
Candidates
Generally, our patients seek this procedure between the ages of 45 and 70 for the following reasons:
-Correct wrinkles on the face (forehead, eyelids, cheeks, mouth, jaw, neck)
-Improve expression lines
-Remove excess fat and skin from the neck
-Define the mandibular line and the contour of the neck
-Desire to regain a youthful appearance affected by the aging process
Post-surgery
The facelift postoperative period is a gradual process. In order for it to develop properly, it is necessary to follow the indications and take the prescribed treatment. Your lifestyle should not be affected by your facelift and minimal downtime is emphasized as much as possible without compromising the facial rejuvenation results you deserve.
Most patients can socialize with close friends and family within 2 weeks without discomfort. To show your results at major events and weddings, we recommend waiting 6 weeks. Remember, every patient is different.
- After the operation, the bandage that has been placed on the face and neck is replaced by a new one that the patient must wear for one more day and can later remove at home.
- It is advisable to wear a scarf and sunglasses during the first fortnight to go out.
- In a period of 5 to 7 days, you will be summoned in consultation for a review. At this time some stitches will be removed.
- 15 days after the operation, all the stitches will be removed.
- Tobacco hinders healing and the supply of nutrients to the skin, so you must stop smoking before surgery.
